Codex work traces
Export and backup Codex CLI and Codex app work history before it disappears.
DataMoat backs up supported Codex CLI and Codex app local session records, including transcript text, tool output, timestamps, metadata, and stable image attachments when available. It seals raw source records in the encrypted memory archive and builds normalized session records for review, search, and export on your own machine.
What DataMoat can and cannot preserve
- It preserves supported local Codex records that are present on disk and accessible to the user.
- It preserves transcript text, tool output, timestamps, source metadata, and stable attachments when available.
- It cannot recover thinking tokens or reasoning blocks that the source app never writes locally in readable form.
- It is an on-device encrypted memory archive, not a cloud account export bypass.
DataMoat protects the AI work data asset that exists locally today. It does not grant extra rights to source-service content.
